Wesleyan College under the famous Newport News, Va., artist Barclay Sheaks and has had numerous art students win local/national awards. Kay and her student artists from Gwaltney Frontier Farm have donated artwork to sell in the Corolla Wild Horse Fund gift shop to benefit the horses.

Kay has had some poetry published, but this is her first children's book of many more to come. She is passionate about continuing to see the Corolla Mustangs run and live free. She hopes to one day retire in the Outer Banks of North Carolina.
